Corporate training
We offer Bush Fire Awareness (BFA) training via a free online learning course and face-to-face training options maybe available at local RFS District offices (fire control centres) in NSW. RFS trainers are fully accredited, possess practical experience and have vast subject matter experience.
The BFA training course is only for non-firefighting personnel, who need access to a NSW active fire ground in the course of their work and it will give them an understanding of the basic elements of wildfire. The course material is specific to NSW. Training requirements for other States and Territories should be confirmed with the relevant emergency services organisation.
For the following emergency services organisations, please contact their internal training area for access to the RFS BFA online training course:
- NSW SES
- NSW Police
- NSW Ambulance
- Marine Rescue NSW
- VRA Rescue NSW
- Surf Life Saving NSW
- St John Ambulance
