More than 10,000 Australian families will have a brighter Christmas this year, thanks to the Stuff Your Chopper Challenge.
In November 2017, the NSW Police Force Air Wing sent out the challenge to fire and emergency services to fill their helicopters with donated food, to help Foodbank NSW & ACT.
Now in its second year, the Stuff Your Chopper Challenge saw police collect 1,250 kilograms of food.
Thanks to a massive logistical effort across the state, and the amazing work and generosity of our volunteers, the NSW RFS has helped secure an even bigger tally.
Last year the NSW RFS collected nearly 13 tonnes of food. This year, we've collected an incredible 18,123 kilograms of food.
We thank all NSW RFS members, local communities and business, including Arnott's Biscuits and Coca Cola Amatil who gave so generously.
