Volunteer firefighters visit young students

The Stage One students at Forbes Public School got a thrill in the last week of term when they had a visit from the Mid Lachlan Valley Rural Fire Service.

Stage One has been learning about volunteers in the community and how important their role is in towns.
“It was fantastic to have the RFS speak to our students and connect their learning,” principal Daffyd Thomas said.
“Stage One were totally engaged and excited by the visit and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the fire hoses in use and examining the truck.”
