Summary
Parkes crews had a busy night assisting Fire & Rescue 417 at a number of fires in Parkes last night.
At approximately 1140pm on Saturday night FRNSW Station 417 were called to a tree fire in May St Parkes. Not long after this FRNSW Pumper 417 was redirected to ...a bin alight behinde Discount Daves in McGees lane, while this was happening at approximately 1152pm NSW Rural Fire Service were called to a grass fire in PAC Park behind the BP on Forbes Road Parkes.
Crews thinking they had the fires under control were again activated to another bin fire this time in McGees lane near Coles behind Parkes Diagnostics.
The two fire services then went to liaise with each other about these fires when NSW Police asked for FRNSW to attend another fire again in McGees Lane this time at the back of the Salvation Army.
While this was happening NSW RFS were called to a grass fire on Hartigan Ave Between Junction and MacArthur streets.
