Emma Gamble - National Volunteer Week
Published Date: 23 May 2018
Summary
This National Volunteer Week, the NSW RFS continues to thank our amazing volunteers and all who give up their time to help others and protect the community.
Emma Gamble is one of more than 73,000 NSW Rural Fire Service volunteers. She became a member of the Forbes Central Rural Fire Brigade in 2016.
“I joined the NSW RFS after my son attended an event at his school run by fire agencies and he came home asking me questions about fire,” Emma said. As Emma didn’t know the answers, she decided to find out and in the process joined her local brigade to learn.
Being part of a team is what Emma likes best about volunteering. “I always feel safe with my crew,” she said.
Thank you Emma.
