Avondale station opening and new trucks

Summary

On Thursday 20th October volunteers, staff and dignitaries gathered for the opening of the new Avondale station and the official handing over of Weja 1 & Avondale 1.

Superintendent Ken Neville from the Mid Lachlan Valley Team was joined by Mr. Paul Smith, Regional Manager Region West NSWRFS and Councillor John Riddley from Lachlan Shire Council to officially open the new Avondale station and present the new trucks to the Avondale & Weja brigades. The members of both brigades were extremely grateful and over the moon to receive the new equipment!
