The MLVT has been presented with almost 70 electrical board boxes from Northparkes Mines - a contribution worth a staggering $14, 000.
The power boards were the property of Northparkes Mines and while they were not fit for use at Northparkes due to mine compliance regulations, were tested and are safe for public use.

Instead of being thrown out, it was the idea of electrical supervisors Matt Hancock and Robert Gronn to contribute the costly boards to MLVT.
"We had all of these power boards that have been RCD (Residual Current Device) tested and tagged and they were just going to be thrown out," Mr Gronn said.
"We wanted to help out the community and someone suggested the Mid Lachlan Valley Team to us."
Superintendent Ken Neville said the donations will be distributed amongst other stations in the area.
"It's fantastic. We don't often get donations of this size out of the blue like this," he said.
"We've got about 30 to 40 brigades in the area that we hope to distribute them to."
The Northparkes donation was made up of 63 small power boards and six larger electrical boxes.
