Bush Fire Danger period concluded
Published Date: 01 Apr 2017
Summary
The Bushfire Danger Period ended at midnight tonight for Forbes, Parkes, Lachlan and Weddin local government areas and Permits will no longer be required.
Thank you to all permit issuing officers, brigade members and permit holders for your cooperation and support over the past six months, with the majority of permit burns undertaken safely and under controlled conditions.
There are still some requirements you must adhere to by law, before you burn.
1. You must give the RFS office 24 hrs notice
2. You must give your neighbours 24 hrs notice.
3. If your property is in a town or village you are not permitted to burn under the Clean Air Act.
Remember you still need to be careful and ensure fire does not escape from your property.
