Louth Field Days
Published Date: 19 Jun 2014
Summary
Not every RFS Manager can say they have had the honour of opening a toilet block but that is exactly what Supt. Chris Favelle achieved at the Louth Field Days.
Instead of building a separate shower & toilet block at the Louth RFS shed, the NSW RFS agreed to a suggestion from the brigade, community, Louth Chamber of Commerce & Bourke Shire Council to pool everyone's funding and build a fabulous new amenities block right in the centre of the village...such a fantastic use of funding and the shared resource will benefit the whole community.
A wonderful day in Louth, an iconic Australian town on the banks of the Darling River...fantastic work by the organisers in bringing so many exhibitors and stall holders to this tiny village!
Great to see our local member The Hon. Kevin Humphries (Member for Barwon, Minister Natural Resources, Lands& Water & Minister for Western NSW) and his wife Linda travel to Louth to attend the Field Days.
A big thank you to Insp. Craig Warwick for organising the RFS display !!!
