Lidster Fire Station opening

Summary
On Saturday 27th October 2018 the new Cat 2B Lidster Station was opened.
This was a very proud day for the volunteers, especially Captain John Sturgeon who has been very proactive in getting this station built (just ask our project coordinator from Core Rural Consulting).
This fire station will house 2 tankers and give the brigade a meeting room, toilet, kitchen, office and storeroom. As you can see by the first photo, it certainly is a step up... from the old shed.
Attending the opening were The Hon Richard Colless MLC (representing The Hon Troy Grant MP, Minister for Emergency Services), Assistant Commissioner Stuart Midgley AFSM (representing Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons AFSM), Cr Kevin Beatty, Mayor Cabonne Council, Superintendent David Hoadley and staff from Canobolas Zone.
