Summary

March Brigade member Jack Griffith received his award in recognition of long service.

The plaque was presented to Mr Griffith at a informal morning tea by Zone Manager David Hoadley. Group Captain John Sturgeon and March Captain John Kjoller attended.

Brothers Creek Hazard Reduction

Jack grew up in the March district and commenced with the local bushfire brigade in his teenage years.

One of the March tankers was stationed at Jack’s property for many years. Jack held many roles during his time with the brigade including Senior Deputy Captain and Chairman. He attended numerous fires and continued to be an active member until selling his property and moving into Orange. 

Jack’s dedication and commitment to the Rural Fire Service is greatly appreciated.
