Panuara, Moorbel, Cargo, Lockwood, Springside, Lidster, Walli Islands and Billimari Brigade's were responded to a fire in the Cargo/Canowidnra area. This smoke is visible from Orange area. At the time it was thought to be two separate fire's, however upon investigation it has found to be one fire only.
Orange Airbase was activated with aviation crews onsite for loading of water bombers.
After the fire fighters, dozer and grader with help from the bombers this is how the fire ground looks now!
We are very fortunate to have such great fire fighters, ground and air crews in the Canobolas Zone. Their quick response helps us to get on top of the fire's early.
