Mt McAllister Fire in Canada

Summary
Brett Bowden has now arrived in Canada to start his role as part of the fire fighting team.
Brett arrived in Canada Saturday 9th August. After an induction session they stayed overnight in the police Academy at Chilliwick. Dorm type rooms. Up early the next day for a 8 hr drive to Prince George, where they spent another night.
On Monday 11th August Brett arrived at the fire camp after a 3 hour drive. The camp is based at Chetwynd at the end of 50th Street. He is sharing a tent with 5 others and the two Aussie tents are side by side. They are proudly flying the Australian Flag so that all know where the Aussies are.
The Incident Command Centre at Chetwynd is looking after the Mt McAllister fire. Brett will start his 14 day, 14 hours a day rotation at 0500 hours in the morning.........long days indeed.
Attached is a photo of the camp. Brett's tent is the one at the front right end, a map showing the area and the vehicle they get for the duration of their rotation.
