State Operations Controller Assistant
Role Description
Scope
The State Operations Controller Assistant (SOCA) is responsible for production of the various instruments, associated documentation, and completion of checklists.
Fundamental Protocols underpin the actions of all RFS members and must be adhered to at all times. They outline the Principles of being an RFS member and provide guidance on conduct to support the safety and wellbeing of members.
Accountabilities
- Assist with written briefings, as requested by State Operations Controller (SOC) for the Commissioner or Deputy Commissioners, on notifiable incidents, significant injuries, fatalities, service vehicle accidents, overruns, significant structural loss, stock loss, issues, etc.
- Prepare section 44 (s44) Instruments and s44 Incident Controller (IC) Letter, ensure that they are correct before being signed, and complete the checklists. Refer to:
- Prepare all Natural Disaster Declarations claims and save in Content Manager (HPE).
- All completed documentation, including all instruments and checklists, are to be saved under the appropriate location nominated on the checklist.
- Provide scribing assistance to key personnel when required. Capture discussions, events and decisions along with their rationale in the appropriate Operations Logbook.
