Summary
Today I ran into this man. Richard Swan.Richard has been driving the Wellington 6 whilst it has been here in Kempsey.
He couldn't stop thanking the team from Orana enough for allowing the tanker to come out of area.
Wellington 6 during the EA late yesterday, assisting with the protection of Bellbrook village and associated access road.
He said that at the Willawarren fire, where all those houses where lost, the Wellington 6 was responsible for saving the school, service station 2 houses and a church.
On the Willie Willie rd fire it saved multiple houses including the local brigade captains house.
The staff and team of the Lower North Coast can not express their thanks enough for the tankers that have come here from Region West, and when I saw the tanker it is in good shape.
Richard did say that when we get it home we might have to check the tank for fish as they have been filling it out of the river. — in Kempsey, New South Wales.
