Bush fire survival plans remain vital even though summer has passed, Dubbo residents are being reminded.
Volunteer firefighters from the Boothenba brigade of the NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) spread the important safety message to adults on Saturday as kids checked out its Mini Moke.

The crew in yellow uniform had gathered at Orana Mall to mark National Red Balloon Day, held annually to say “Thank you Fireys”.
Deputy captain Ashley Waugh said they had talked to people about the importance of having a bush fire survival plan.
“Even though we’re on the tail end of the season, there’s still a chance [it will be needed],” he said.
The deputy captain also urged people to keep an eye on the fire danger rating.
On Saturday kids boarded the Mini Moke resembling a fire engine, and Mr Waugh said it had also been great to have Smokey the Koala make a guest appearance.
Mr Waugh thanked the community for its support, and Orana Mall for its assistance.
