Orana strike teams head north

Summary
A big thank you to our local volunteers and staff that have gone or are preparing to go to help with the fires in the north of the state.
Orana team as crew members and tankers engaged in the 2 Region West strike teams that have departed from the new RFS training Academy over the weekend.
We also have a number crew members preparing to fly out to replace the initial crews in the next few days.
There is every indication that our support will be required for a few weeks to come.
Any RFS volunteers who wish to help out can ring the Fire Control Center during business hours.
Another Region West Strike team heads north to assist northern crews left on September 13th.
