Bunnings supports emergency services this Australia Day

BUNNINGS brought in the Australia Day weekend by supporting local volunteer emergency services nationally with an Aussie Day Weekend Fundraiser BBQ.
Crowd flocked past Bunnings Dubbo for a sausage sizzle to supprot the Wongarbon RFS, fire demonstations by 12 to 16-year-old RFS cadets, children's crafts, face painting and an appearance by Bunnings Bear.

NSW Rural Fire Service Commissioner, Shane Fitzsimmons, said he is pleased Bunnings has chosen to support emergency services with this great initiative.
"Every day our 74,000 members are working to help protect the community from bus fire, and this Australia Day will be no different," he said.
"I'd like to thank Bunnings and their customers for supporting our volunteers in their important work.
"As summer continues I urge everyone to be prepared for fires.
"Download a bush fire survival plan from the NSW RFS website and talk to your family about preparing your home and what you would do if a bush fire took hold near you."
Bunnings Dubbo manager, Shane Fuller said the volunteers on the barbecue were more than happy to give back to our emergency services.
"We're supporting guys that support our community," he said.
"We're also supporting and promoting fire awareness because we're in peak fire season at the moment.
"It's good to be able to support them and we hope the community gets a lot out of the day."
